So last night on the high way this weird rattling noise started coming from underneath the dash (that’s what it sounded like … it didn’t sound like engine noise) and my speedometer started jumping around erratically … at no point did the car start to run weird. I could still accelerate and the transmission still seemed to shift fine. None of the other gauges seemed to be affected.

we made it to the Jolly Rd exit and as we were slowing down the noise stopped and the speedometer went back to normal. I decided to try to make it home since we were close and the car ran normally the rest of the time.

has anyone ever encountered anything like this?

thanks to Dave Ramsey we have an “emergency fund” … not a big one … but we could probably get it fixed … I was just wondering if someone knew before I decide to take it in this week.
